Theo Gerrits

Theo Gerrits has been working in the IT field since 1994. In 2007 he joined Xebia as an Agile Consultant. He is a Certified Agile Master and author of the book ‘Agile – A Pocket Guide for responsive organizations’. Theo has more than 10 years’ experience as an Agile and Lean coach and trainer with several large clients, such as APG, KPN, ING, Stater, Rabobank and KLM. Not only in IT, but also with business departments and on all levels of the organization. He has held multiple roles, such as developer, tester, product support employee, (enterprise) architect, auditor, (business) analyst and project manager. He is strongly motivated to create highly effective organizations using the DevOps/Agile philosophy. Theo is a Certified Scrum Master, Certified Agile Master, Computable Expert, Lean Green Belt, a member of the IEEE Computer Society and a member of the GIA (Genootschap voor Informatie Architecten). Theo is also interested in various fields of Computer Science, such as formal languages, software re-engineering, Artificial Intelligence, evolutionary algorithms, robotics and 3D-printing. He holds a degree in Physics and Mathematics and he lives with his wife, Ingrid, and his two children, Ben and Merel, in Houten, the Netherlands.
