In this article, inspired by a presentation at the leading Dutch ecommerce event WebWinkel Vakdagen, Juriaan Bernson and Giovanni Lanzani share the seven habits of effective data-driven organizations. By sharing real examples they paint a picture of highly-effective traits of organizations that successfully made the transition to organizations that actually see positive returns on their investment in data.
Just like the highly effective people of the well-known Steven Covey book, effective data-driven organizations possess the following seven habits:

- Put first things first
- Think win-win
- Understand, then to be understood
- Synergize
- Sharpen the saw
How can you relate these habits — that Covey attributed to people — to organizations? You can find the slides below!
